Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy was installed as COANJ President for 2022-2023 on the final day of the COANJ Conference. Also installed as COANJ Officers were Morris County Surrogate Heather J. Darling as Vice-President, Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter as Secretary & Cape May County Surrogate Dean R. Marcolongo as Treasurer.
Section Cheifs for 2022-2023 were also installed. Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton – Sheriff Section Chief; Middlesex County Surrogate Claribel Cortes as Surrogate Section Chief, and Salem County Clerk Dale A. Cross as Clerk/Register Section Chief.
Sussex County State Senator Steven V. Orho administered the oaths of office. Senator Orho was also presented with the COANJ Legislator of the Year Award as was Senator Joseph Cryan. Lobbyist Dale J. Florio was presented with the COANJ Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Service.
Outgoing COANJ President Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon presented Ocean County Clerk Scott M. Colabella with the Gill C. Job Award for Outstanding Service and Passaic County Deputy Clerk Nawissa Tawech was awarded the Rita M. Rosenberg Award for Outstanding Service by a Deputy.
