Rasmussen Speaks at COANJ March Meeting

Micah Rasmussen, Director of the Rebovich Institute for NJ Politics at Rider University in Lawrenceville, was the guest speaker at the March COANJ Meeting held at the Trenton Country Club.  Rasmussen provided a detailed overview presentation to COANJ Members about the recent Congressional & State Legislative Redistricting.

In addition to hearing from Rasmussen COANJ Members held breakout session meetings with the Surrogates, Sheriffs and County Clerks & Registers discussing numerous issues facing their respective offices.

COANJ President, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon provided an update to COANJ Members about the Annual “My County Poster” contest to recognize National County Government Month (coming in April) as well as info on the Annual Conference in September. 

The new 2022 COANJ pocket directory listing all members was distributed and Section Reports were presented by Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter, Morris County Surrogate Heather Darling and Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton.  Cape May County Surrogate Dean Marcolongo provided the COANJ Treasurer’s Report and Hunterdon County Clerk Mary Melfi provided a Legislative Report.
